What We Do

The Sellwood Middle School Foundation raises money to fill budget gaps. This allows our principal to hire more teachers. Due to the erosion of state funding for public schools, class sizes are on the rise, and class offerings are decreasing.

The Foundation works to improve the education of students at Sellwood Middle School. We believe that a school with an active community can go from a good school to a great school. We believe in Sellwood Middle School and its students. The Foundation is an all-volunteer, parent-led organization.

The Foundation’s primary goals are to increase the teacher-to-student ratio and enhance elective choices. We believe that students can thrive given the proper support, and that high-quality and relevant electives are crucial for a 21st-century education.

The Foundation is an all-volunteer, parent-led organization.
